Let's talk about Board game systems

What is a Board Game System?

A board game system, or game system for short, describes a set of components that can be used to play multiple games.
The most classic example of this is the traditional deck of cards. A game system is like an analog version of a game engine. It can be used to easily translate multiple classical and ancient games, as well as create new ones, using only the components contained in the set. This way the system allows you to play diverse games depending on your mood, company, interests, and skill level.
